Mayor Craig A. Moe and Police Chief David Crawford are pleased to announce the opening of the New Laurel Police Department Public Safety Complex.  The opening dedication ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2010 at the New Public Safety Complex located at 811 5th Street Laurel, Maryland.   The ribbon cutting and dedication of the complex will be followed by a guided tour of the new facility.

The Laurel Police Department will be moving into their new home after spending 37 years at its former location at 350 Municipal Square.  The Police Department out grew that location and needed a more modern facility. The new facility will provide for growth in the Police Department.  It will have state of the art technology and security to better serve our citizens and police officers.

Mayor Moe and Chief Crawford invite Laurel’s citizens to the opening dedication ceremony to be part of the excitement as they unveil the new public safety complex to better serve the needs of Laurel’s residents, businesses, and visitors.
