Once again the Officers of the Laurel Police Department will be running for a great cause, Special Olympics. Laurel Police Officers will meet with other law enforcement agencies including Officers from Prince George’s County, Hyattsville and University of Maryland at the American Legion Post 217 College Park on Baltimore Avenue to hold a brief ceremony to include the passing of the Flame of Hope Torch and begin the run on foot to Laurel. This part of the run will end at Laurel’s American Legion Post 60 on Main Street where the torch will be passed on to Howard County Police Department.

Come and support the Special Olympics and the police officers, everyone is welcome.
