Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that the City of Laurel has launched its updated blog, Laurel Straight Up, located on the City’s web site, It has a new look and easier navigation, along with poll questions in which residents can participate.

Mayor Moe is inviting all of Laurel’s Citizens to visit the web site to familiarize themselves with the information and opportunities available to them.  He hopes they will check the web site often because more exciting advancements will occur this year.  Not only have we updated Laurel Straight Up, but we will soon have registration for Parks and Recreation programs on-line, in addition to being able to apply for facility rentals.  Also, permit applications will be introduced as well as other opportunities to pay for City services (i.e. special pickups, some permits, etc.) on line by credit card.

Mayor Moe stated he was pleased with this new addition to his “Government to the People”Program citing the importance of taking advantage of all media opportunities to keep the residents and businesses informed of what is going on with their City. – check it out!  And please, let us know what you think!
