Fall is in full effect!  The leaves are changing colors and the weather is getting cooler.  Bring your family to celebrate the season with the Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation at the annual Harvest Moon Hayride. On November 5, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. kids, teens and adults can enjoy a brisk autumn hayride along the Patuxent River.  The hayride will take you through beautiful Riverfront Park where drinks, snacks and musical entertainment by “The Only Two” will be held around a roaring bonfire.

The hayride will originate at the former City of Laurel Police Department parking lot on C Street.  The cost for each rider is $3.50 and kids under two will ride for free.  Pre-registered groups of ten or more may receive a discounted rate by contacting the main office at 301-725-7800.

The former Police Department is located at the cross streets of B Street and C Street.  Riverfront Park is located on Avondale Street.  Visit the City’s web site at or call 301-725-7800 for more information.
