Mayor Craig A. Moe and Police Chief Richard McLaughlin announced that two speed cameras have been re-located. The new locations for the speed cameras are Van Dusen Road, North bound between Laurel Park Drive and Olive Branch and on Sandy Spring Road near Phillip Powers Drive.  These cameras were installed today and are active.
With the anticipation of schools opening soon and traffic surveys of speeding vehicles the cameras were re-located in hopes of reducing speed for the safety of pedestrian and traffic in and around school zones.
Mayor Moe and Chief McLaughlin are committed to make the roadways around school zones much safer for our children and reduce speeding in the City of Laurel.
