Ms. Kimberley A. Rau, MMC, Clerk to the Board of Election Supervisors, has announced the revised Laurel Candidate Packages are available in the Office of the Clerk, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on line at www.laurel.md.us.

 

Included in the Candidate Package is the new Ethics Candidate Disclosure Form.  The Mayor and City Council enacted Ordinance No. 1722 as required by State Law which sets the new requirements for financial disclosure.  The new form is identical to the Disclosure Form used at the State level and requires more detailed information than candidates have had to provide in the past. The Maryland State Ethics Commission approved Ordinance No. 1722 and encouraged the City to share the ordinance with other municipalities.   The Candidate Package is now current with all City legislation, including Ordinance No. 1724 which amended the requirements for qualification.
