Mayor Craig A. Moe has proclaimed that September 24, 2011 will be observed as National Public Lands Day. The City of Laurel will join other cities around the country in acknowledging the many activities we all enjoy using public land. Mayor Moe reports that the City of Laurel will celebrate National Public Lands Day by participating in a park clean up at Riverfront Park. The park clean up will start at 9 a.m. at the picnic pavilions near Avondale Street and the Patuxent river.
