Laurel Police are investigating an attempted robbery of PNC Bank in the 7400 block Van Dusen Road. At approximately 10:02 A.M. police responded for an alarm at PNC Bank and upon arrival employees of the bank stated they observed a man wearing a black mask approach the front door at which time employees locked the door not allowing the suspect to enter. The suspect fled towards Laurel Park Drive on foot. A search of the area with police officers and K-9 dog had negative results. The suspect is described as a white male 50-60 years of age, 6’, white hair wearing a dark blue sweater, jeans and a black mask carrying a large envelope. This maybe same suspect who robbed the same bank on October 28, 2011.
