Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that the dedication of the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Facility will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 19, 2011. The new maintenance facility is located at 7705 Old Sandy Spring Road. The former site of a moving and storage facility was purchased in 2010 along with property at 7703 Old Sandy Spring Road. Parks and Recreation maintenance staff, along with vehicles and equipment, will be housed at this location and free up some much needed space at the Laurel Armory Anderson-Murphy Community Center. Mayor Moe states, “This facility and site will provide space for future expansion of the Parks and Recreation Department and will serve our citizens well.”
