NOTICE TO  BIDDERS
 
The City of Laurel, Director of Budget and Personnel Services, will receive sealed proposals for:
 
ROBERT J. DIPIETRO COMMUNITY CENTER ROOF REPAIRS
      CONTRACT NUMBER LA 12-02
 
Until 11:00 a.m. December 23, 2011, at the City of Laurel Budget and Personnel Services Office, Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel, MD 20707, at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chambers.  Bids must be marked "Sealed Bid ‑ Contract Number LA12-02 and be hand delivered or mailed to the above address.
 
DESCRIPTION:
 
This project includes repairs to the 19,028 sq. ft.  Robert J. Dipietro Community Center Roof. Most of the roof is a low sloped built-up roof assembly. Work will include repairs to base flashings and metal coping butts around the roof area. There is some repairs to the steep skylights requiring cleaning and new sealant. Please see pages 72-73 for additional information.
 
The bidding and contract documents may be examined free of charge or purchased for Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per set at the City of Laurel Budget and Personnel Services Office, 8103 Sandy Spring Road, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays on or after December 2, 2011.
 
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for December 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the Robert J. Dipietro Community Center. All questions regarding this bid should be directed to the City of Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation, at (301) 725-7800.
 
Each proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond made payable to the City of Laurel in the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.
 
The City of Laurel reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
