Chief Richard McLaughlin wants the public to be aware that on March 30, 2012, at 1050 hours, the Laurel Police responded to the PNC Bank in the 300 block of Main Street for a reported attempted armed robbery.

A description of the suspect and the getaway vehicle was obtained from witnesses and broadcasted to area police departments. A short time later, Laurel Police detectives were notified that the suspect had successfully robbed a bank in Gainesville, Virginia.

On April 02, 2012, Laurel Police detectives were notified that a suspect matching the description was arrested in Virginia.  Laurel Police detectives responded and interviewed the suspects, who confessed. As a result, arrest warrants were obtained for Kevin W. Bolden, 46 years old of New Haven, CT and Moneek Grant, 34 years old of New Haven, CT charging both with Armed Robbery.
