Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce the appointments of three members to the Census and Ward Boundary Review Ad Hoc Committee. The members are G. Rick Wilson, Ward 1 Representative, Rhonda Whitley, Ward 2 Representative and Kimberly Elliott, At Large Representative.

Members of the Census and Ward Boundary Committee are tasked with reviewing the new Census numbers for the City of Laurel and reviewing the City of Laurel Ward Boundaries. The Committee will hold at least one public hearing on Ward Boundaries, which will be announced when scheduled, and the Committee will assemble reviewed information with public input for recommendation to the Mayor and City Council.

The Census and Ward Boundary Committee is expected to have its recommendations to the Mayor and City Council in the next few months. The first meeting of the Committee will be on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 6:30pm in Meeting Room 2.
