Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that the Greenview Drive Pool has had power restored and will be in full operation tomorrow. This means that during the forecasted excessive heat watch, both the Laurel Municipal Pool and the Greenview Drive Pool will open an hour early at 11:00 a.m. Mayor Moe encourages all citizens to be mindful of heat-related illness and to use the extended pool hours to remain comfortable.

Additionally, the Laurel Armory Anderson-Murphy Community Center and the Robert J. DiPietro Community Center will be open to serve as a Cooling Center during their regular business hours. Citizens may come to the Center for relief from the heat as well as to use as charging stations if you are still without power.  For additional information, please contact the Laurel Department of Parks and Recreation at 301-725-7800.
