Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that there will be a Cooling Center open on July 4, 2012 at the Laurel Armory, 422 Montgomery Street, from 10am – 6pm. Due to the high humidity and areas still without power, Mayor Moe made the decision to open a Cooling Center at this facility since it is equipped with two lounge areas, large TV screens, WiFi and gaming systems. Charging stations will be set up for electronics. Residents can also take advantage of the Greenview Drive Pool and Municipal Pool which both will open at 11am.

If you are still without power, Mayor Moe encourages you to call Baltimore Gas and Electric at 1-877-778-2222 to ensure BG&E is aware of the outage at your residence or business and keep calling periodically until power is up.

Mayor Moe wishes everyone a safe and happy Independence Day.
