Chief Richard McLaughlin and members of the Laurel Police Department are proud to announce the start of the 8th Annual Laurel Police Cop's Camp, which will be held Monday through Friday, August 13 to August 17, 2012.

Youths participating in the Cop's Camp will be able to learn some of what is taught to police officers in a police academy.  They will also observe K-9 and SWAT demonstrations, police motorcycles and a variety of other demonstrations.

The 2012 Cops Camp will consist of 99 kids from ages 6 to 12 years. The camp will be held at the Laurel Lakes Gude Park with the exception of one day, which will be held at the Laurel Municipal Pool on Main Street.
