On August 22, 2012 at 0811 hours, the victim, an 11 year old male student of Martin Luther King Jr. Middle, was waiting alone for the bus in the area of Arbory Ct. and Van Dusen Rd.  A dirty, white work van with tinted windows and no markings pulled up to the victim.  The vehicle was occupied by two males.  The driver was described as an older, white male, 5’11” – 6’01”, thin build, with short wavy, gray hair and a black mustache, wearing a black T-shirt and plaid shorts.  The victim could not describe the second occupant.  The driver showed the victim a toy motorcycle and asked him if he wanted it.  The victim ignored the driver, who repeated the question several times.  The driver then exited his vehicle and began slowly walking towards the victim, continuing to offer him the toy motorcycle.  The victim then became fearful and fled from the area and contacted his parents.  The driver made no attempt to pursue the victim or physically accost him in any way.  The suspect vehicle was reported by witnesses to have been picking up scrap materials in the neighborhood prior to the contact with the victim.

If you have any information about the attempted abduction, please contact the Laurel Police at 301-498-0092.
