On September 1, 2012 at 7:52pm, a robbery/shooting occurred at the Laurel Exxon at 7801 Old Sandy Spring Rd.  A male suspect entered the store, displayed a black .25 caliber handgun, and demanded money from the clerk in the store.  The clerk refused the demands and the two began fighting.  The suspect shot the clerk once in the arm and then fled the store on foot.  The clerk was transported to Prince George’s Hospital and is in stable condition with a gunshot wound and bruising on his head.  The suspect was described as a black male, medium complexion, in his 30’s, approximately 6’00” heavy set, with a beard, wearing a white T-shirt, tan shorts, and a red baseball hat with a white A printed on it, possibly an Anaheim Angels logo.  Laurel Police are actively investigating the crime and are asking anyone who believes they know the identity of the suspect to contact 301-498-0092.
