Mayor Craig A. Moe has announced that City Offices will be closed on Monday, October 8, 2012, in observance of Columbus Day.

Monday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, Tuesday’s refuse and recyclables will be collected on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. There will be no change to Wednesday’s commercial refuse collection or Wednesday’s recycling collection. 

There will be no Residential Special Pickup or Yard Debris collection this week. Our next scheduled Residential Special Pickup and Yard Debris collection will be on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. You can schedule a Residential Special Pickup by either e-mailing the Department of Public Works at [email protected] or calling us at 301-725-0088.

The Mayor and City Council meeting usually held on the second Monday of the month, will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the Laurel Municipal Center, 8103 Sandy Spring Road.  The October Work Session will also be held the same date and location at 6:00pm.  Agenda items may be found on the City’s web site, www.laurel.md.us.
