Mayor Craig A. Moe recognized a group of Laurel’s individually and/or family owned and operated businesses that have called the City of Laurel their home for at least 20 years or longer at the Mayor and City Council Meeting on Monday, October 22, 2012. 

Mayor Moe stated his belief that it is the locally owned and operated businesses that are integral to the creation and maintenance of Laurel’s sense of community.  The Honorees were as follows:

Mayor Moe stated it is important to recognize local success stories and to thank local businesses for being in Laurel.  It is his hope that this recognition will give encouragement to others who have chosen Laurel to do business. 

Mayor Moe stated this was the second such ceremony in a continuing recognition program. As other businesses achieve the 20 year milestone they will be recognized at future Mayor and City Council Meetings.
