Mayor Craig A. Moe is pleased to announce that Saturday, November 24, 2012 is recognized as the 2nd Annual Small Business Saturday in the City of Laurel and encourages all residents and visitors to support all of Laurel’s local, small businesses. 

Mayor Moe said, “The longevity of our locally-owned, small businesses is the cornerstone of Laurel’s economic vitality.  Laurel is proud to be home to many such businesses who have a been in business in Laurel for over 25 years, such as Outback Leather, Hobby Works, Laurel Meat Market, Rainbow Florist, Minute Man Press, Comic Classics, Sports Card Heroes, and several others.  Laurel is a great place to do business, and I urge everyone to support our local, small businesses on Saturday, November 24, 2012 and every day.” 

Small Business Saturday is a national campaign sponsored by American Express asking millions of Americans to Shop Smallsm at their favorite local stores and help fuel the economy. When we all shop small, it will be huge.
