Silence Hides Violence. Do you need help or know someone that needs help from domestic violence? Chief Richard McLaughlin and the officers of the Laurel Police Department invite you to join us on February 5, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Partnership Hall, located at 811 Fifth Street Laurel, MD.

Dating may create some potential hidden dangers.  At this meeting, the Laurel Police have included a forum discussing teen dating violence with speaker, Ronda Lennon, from SWANS, a local counseling provider. If you or someone you know has a dating-aged teenager, this would be a very informative meeting to attend, especially if you suspect they may be involved in an abusive relationship.

As always, there will also be services from the following organizations:

Community Advocates for Family and Youth – Counseling
House of Ruth – Counseling and Legal Services
Prince George’s Hospital Center – Counseling
Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Office – Trail Preparation
SWAN’S Program – Counseling
Laurel City Police Department – Listening to the concerns of victims regarding to Law Enforcement

For more information about this meeting, please contact Major Bob Althoff at 301-498-0092.
