  1. Special Exception Application No. 918- Mad Cow Grill- 310 Domer Avenue, filed by Foodie Vision LLC., for recommendation to the Board of Appeals.

Text Amendment No. 261 (Ordinance 1991) An ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland to amend the Unified Land Development Code to update the Department of Economic and Community Development title, update portions of the M-X-T zone requirements, update portions of the PUD-E zone requirements, and create public art guidelines.  The proposed update is part of a comprehensive review and update of the City’s zoning code, for recommendation to the Mayor and City Council.

FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY SEVENTH MEETING

CITY OF LAUREL PLANNING COMMISSION

TUESDAY DECEMBER 14, 2021 – 6:00 P.M.

 

The meeting convened on a virtual platform through Zoom at 6:00 P.M., with Chairwoman Mitzi R. Betman presiding.  The roll was called with Mr. John Kish, Vice-Chairman, Mr. Wellford and Councilmember Sydnor. Also present were Mr. Robert Love, Director, Ms. Andrea Brown, Deputy Director, Mr. Joshua Mitchum, Planner II and Ms. Brooke Quillen, Secretary to the Commission. Mr. Darnell Butler from the Communications Department was also present. There were approximately zero (2) members of the public in attendance.

 

The minutes from the October 19, 2021 meeting were approved as written, on motion by Mr. Wellford seconded by Mr. Kish, and carried on a roll call vote of all members present.

 

            The next item on the agenda was Special Exception Application No. 918, 310 Domer Avenue  Laurel, Maryland 20707 filed by Foodie Vision, 310 Domer Avenue Laurel, Maryland 20707.  Mr. Mitchum stated the applicant is seeking Special Exception approval to add Live Entertainment and Dancing to the existing restaurant, Mad Cow Grill.  Mad Cow Grill is located in the Laurel Shopping Center, a 15-acre shopping center lot,

 

The applicant, Mr. Ed Reynoso, 310 Domer Avenue Laurel, Maryland  20707, stated they agree will all the conditions listed in the staff report.

 

Chairwoman Betman noted for the record there were zero (0) members of the public signed up to speak on this item.

 

The Commission, on motion by Mr. Wellford, seconded by Mr. Kish, and carried on a roll call vote of all members present, voted to recommend approval of Special Exception Application No. 918 to the Board of Appeals.
