  1. Introduction and first public hearing on Ordinance No. 1983, an ordinance of the Mayor and City council of Laurel, Maryland to amend Laurel City Code, Chapter 7 “Garbage, Trash, Weeds, Recycling, etc. and providing an effective date.

Introduction and first public hearing on Ordinance No. 1984, an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland, to amend Chapter 18, “Building and Building Regulations”, Article IX, “Property Maintenance Code”, Section 18-148 “Rental Properties” of the Laurel City Code, adding sections and providing an effective date.
  1. Introduction and first public hearing on Ordinance No 1985, an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland to authorize the Mayor and the City’s ARPA Committee to administer the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds established by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 as detailed in the City of Laurel ARPA Budget and providing an effective date.
  1. Introduction and first public hearing on Ordinance No. 1986, an ordinance to amend the General Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland, for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, to appropriate a portion of the funds received through the American Rescue Plan Act and to provide an effective date.
  1. Introduction and first public hearing on Charter Resolution No. 174, a Charter Resolution to amend the Charter of the City of Laurel Maryland by amending “Article 300, “Government”, Section 312, “Meeting; Oath of Office”, to allow for virtual meetings of the Mayor and City Council and other City Boards, Commissions, and Committees.

The Clerk to the City Council provides assistance to the City Council, maintains and preserves City legislation, and provides administrative and reporting coverage of meetings.
