New Agenda ItemOrdinance No. 1953, an ordinance of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland to amend Chapter 2, Article VIII, entitled “Civil Emergencies”, Section 2-176 through Section 2-185, of the Laurel City Code to provide for certain technical and substantive changes relating to the declaration of a State of Emergency by the Mayor and providing an effective date.

A. Reporting on various community events, meetings and announcements.

A. William Goddard, City Administrator, reports on the various activities of the City Departments

5. General Public Hearing

A. Members of the public are asked to sign the speakers list at the back of the Council Chambers. Council President calls the speakers from the sign in sheet. Each speaker is asked to give their name and address for the record. Each speaker is allowed three minutes to speak.

6. Agenda Items

A. Motion to ratify Executive Orders 2020-01, 2020-02, 2020-03, 2020-05 and 2020-06, issued by Mayor Craig Moe.

B. Second public hearing with possible action on Resolution No. 6-2020, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland to establish the amount of impact fees for development and redevelopment in the City of Laurel, Maryland and providing an effective date.

C. Second public hearing with possible action on Resolution No. 7-2020, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland approving the Renewal Lease Agreement by and between the City of Laurel and the Laurel Historical Society, Inc. for the operation of the Laurel Museum.

D. Introduction and first public hearing on Resolution No. 9-20, a resolution of the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, Maryland supporting the National Capital Region as a priority location for federally-supported COVID19 Testing Site.
