EIGHT HUNDRED AND TENTH MEETING
CITY OF LAUREL HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
TUESDAY – APRIL 17, 2018 – REGULAR

1. Roll Call.
2. Approval of the Minutes for the Regular HDC meeting held on March 20, 2018.
3. HDC 064-2018 for 906 Montgomery Street, submitted by Deirdre Holliday-Williams, requesting to install a sign for storefront. Sign will say Flavor Garden in white, green and brown color. Size of the sign is 24’’ x 36’’.
4. HDC 066-2018 for 339 Main Street, submitted by Shaunda Evans requesting to replace awning which is currently black, over front doors in dark blue color with white lettering to read: "Hair Salon 339". Also, request to paint front door and trim in a medium blue, close to the Covington blue on the approved colors list. Last request is to install an exterior light fixture to front of building.
5. A tax credit request for 310 Fourth Street, submitted by Michael and Cheryl Dyer, for replacement of gutters and downspouts- approved Certificate of Approval HDC 042-2018. The cost for this work was $6,907.69, proof of payment is $6,907.69 and the tax credit requested amount is $690.76.
HDC 061-2018 for 204 Sixth Street submitted by David Deglau, requesting approval to replace white vinyl windows to second floor of log cabin addition on rear of the house. New windows will match rest of the house and have inset grids.
HDC 062-2018 for 320 Montgomery Street submitted by James and Suma Penrose, requesting approval to replace flat roof on front and rear of property with in-kind material and color, also to remove the black iron railing along the second level of the flat roof.
HDC 065-2018 for 505 Prince George Street, submitted by Marvin and Sulema Hernandez, requesting to install new (in-kind) windows, shutters and front door with same color styles for all. Applicant was present at the March 2018 meeting for the siding and roof approval.
HDC 063-2018 for 15-25 C Street submitted by Scott Fisher, requesting approval to remove hickory tree covered in ivy and overgrown brush at rear of property. Will replace with more manageable bushes and dogwood trees. Arborist report states hickory tree is a hazard to electrical service wires. Area of work less than 30% of property.
HDC 067-2018 for 310 Fourth Street submitted by Michael & Cheryl Dyer, requesting approval to replace backyard fence on 3 sides with exactly the same cedar pickets (in kind).
