Stop the presses! The City's Electronics Recycling and Paper Shredding Event is back!
Gather up your old, important papers and old electronics and come down to Public Works, 305-307 First Street, on Saturday, April 17, 2021 from 8:00am to 12:00pm.
This event is for City residents and City businesses only. You must show proof of City residency, or be able to confirm your Laurel business address to participate. Please be sure to check that your address is within the city limits. Not every location in the area called "Laurel, Maryland" is within the city boundaries. Areas NOT in the City Limits Include: Montpelier, the Russet, West Laurel, North Laurel and South Laurel and any portion of Montgomery County, Anne Arundel County, or Howard County (The City is entirely within Prince George's County). To check your address in advance, please call the Department of Economic and Community Development at 301-725-5300 ext. 2303 or visit the City’s web site, cityoflaurel.org, to check the map.
Electronic Recyclables Includes: computer monitors and CPUs, CD/DVD/VCR players, radios, printers, keyboards, televisions, stereos, speakers, game stations and other like items. If it plays music, video, or is a computer accessory it counts! Things such as microwaves, blenders, toaster ovens and other electrical items that may have a digitial display are not considered electronics for this event.
Chesapeake Paper Systems will be on site to shred your documents safely. Paper documents as well as old X-ray films are accepted. Residents are welcome to stay and watch their documents be shredded or drop them off and be on their way.
