SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position performs general clerical duties in the Department of Budget and Personnel Services. The work involves scanning documents and saving into electronic data storage, as well as filing and record keeping.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Human Resource Officer; however, other staff members will be involved in training and assignments.  The nature of the work performed requires the employee to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments of the City and the general public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED from an accredited school. Able to use typical word processing software such as Microsoft Word and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel. Able to learn and apply other office software and automated office procedures. Able to type 35 words per minute and produce work that meets departmental formatting requirements.  EOE

 

MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL examination, INCLUDING DRUG SCREEN, AND A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK.
