SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position acts as first point of contact for clients receiving services at the Laurel Helping Hands Youth Service Bureau (YSB) in addition to providing administrative support functions to the Youth Service Bureau staff. Position requires office management skills such as organizing and executing both routine and special activities, as well as completing general clerical and secretarial tasks. Work is performed under the supervision of the Clinical Director but allows for considerable independent judgment and initiative.
Must be 21 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent and at least three years of related experience showing progressive responsivity ; or Associate Degree in Business, Office Management/Supervision or a related field; or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Must successfully pass CPS and criminal background check.
He/she must have strong verbal and written communication skills; very good interpersonal skills; ability engage diverse populations and the ability to work independently, exercise judgment, multitask, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. High School diploma or GED from an accredited school, and a minimum of 1 year of relevant customer service experience preferred. EOE
