Nominee: Laurel Elementary

Laurel Elementary celebrated their 100th day of school not by going to the playground or on a field trip. They wrote letters to the troops; wrote 100 reasons why students attend school; completed projects using 100 items; a story about the 100th day of school was read by the assistant principal; students were instructed to bring in 100k pennies. They brought in $500.00 worth of pennies. The donations were submitted to Patrons for Peace and Tails of Hope. These students gave 110% to their community.
