Special Pickups and Yard Debris Collections. Special Collections and Yard Debris are back every Wednesday! Throughout March and April, residents can schedule both yard debris and special collection for every week. Check the DPW calendar for collection dates. Remember, residents that have construction or remodeling debris are required to have a toter with a lift bar. Residents can get toter when they call to schedule a special collection. To schedule either collection, you need to contact Public Works by the end of the day on the Monday before the collection. Call us (301) 725-0088 or e-mail us (dpw@laurel.md.us).
Walk Laurel. Now that winter is behind us (HOPEFULLY!), it’s a great time to get out and walk/bike around Laurel. The Walk Laurel Blog now has a new user friendly walking/biking map. The map can be found on the DPW’s homepage or by clicking the following link: http://walklaurel.blogspot.com. Walking/biking is a great way to see Laurel!
In like a lion – out like a lamb. If the March winds are blowing your recycling around – residents are allowed to use a see through plastic bag. The bag must be clearly marked “RECYCLE” and placed out to the curb on your recycling day. Call Public Works if you have any questions.
Electronics Recycling Event: The electronics recycling event is scheduled for Saturday, April 20th. The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Public Works facility. More information and directions will be sent out April 1st.
2013 Calendars: If you have not received your new calendar contact Public Works. To reach us by phone call (301) 725-0088 or e-mail us at (dpw@laurel.md.us).
