License Plate Reader (LPR):
Currently we are utilizing two License Plate Readers which resulted in the following data:

•Wanted Persons Arrested 7
•Stolen tags Recovered 14
Approximately 85,000 Tags read with approximately 6,600 alerts for suspended registrations or driver’s licenses.
Electronic Traffic Information Exchange (ETIX) System
20 Officers trained and certified
•Total Tickets issued 3525
•Total Warnings issued 2496
Recruitment
•Tested 181 applicants for Police Officer
•Attended a number of job fairs, to include one sponsored by NAACP
•Hired 6 police officers
CID
Investigations have obtained a 45% closure rate of all part 1 offenses
•Assigned 376 cases
Special Crimes Unit
•Obtained and executed 26 search warrants
•Combined efforts with Anne Arundel, Howard Counties and BICE for prostitution enforcement
Training
•Developed and implemented new reporting procedures for Training that has made the documentation and recording easier and more efficient.
•Centralized all training documentation, recording and vendor contact.
•Sworn - Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) Approved Over 5,800 hours
