Donna L. Crary, Council Member
City Council Member, Donna L. Crary, was elected to her second term on November 1, 2011 and was sworn into office on November 28, 2011. The was elected to her first term as Council President on November 28, 2011.
Council Member Crary was born raised in Windsor, Vermont. She came to Maryland in 1985 and raised her son Joel here in Laurel. She is an active member of St. Philips Episcopal Church on Main Street.
Ms. Crary received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowie State University in 1989 and Juris Doctor degree from University of Baltimore School of Law in 1992. She opened a general practice law firm, concentrating on estate planning on Main Street in 1995 and moved the practice to Fourth Street and Montrose Avenue in 1998.
For the last four years Donna has served on many committees for the City volunteering where needed. She has served on the Board of Appeals since 2004. Additionally, she has served on the Green Building Task Force since 2007.
Ms. Crary is a member of the Maryland State, Prince George's Bar Association (s) and Treasurer for the Laurel Bar Association. She was appointed to the Women's Network Action Committee for the Congressional 5th District by Majority Leader Steny Hoyer in June 2008.
