City of Laurel Emergency Operations Center Closing

This is an alert update from the City of Laurel Emergency Operations Department. Mayor Craig A. Moe has declared that the City Snow Emergency and City State of Emergency will remain in effect until further notice.
Mayor Moe would like the residents and homeowners to know that the City of Laurel Emergency Operations Center will be closing at 4:00pm on Thursday, February 11, 2010. If you have any questions related to snow, please call Public Works at 301-725-0088. The Public Works Department will be going into a stand down mode from 8:00 pm, Thursday, February 11 until 5:00 am, Friday, February 12 to allow for crews to get much needed rest and for snow removal equipment to be repaired and maintained. All snow removal and salting operations will commence again at 5:00 am on the Friday, February 12. If you need emergency service, Fire and EMS can be reached by calling 911 and the Laurel Police can be reached by calling 301-725-3000 for emergency needs. Thank you.
